Katherine Munoz is an active freelance bassoonist based in New York City. Currently, she is on tour with World Ballet Company's productions of Swan Lake and the Nutcracker.

Passionate about performing classical music in both traditional and unconventional concert settings, Katherine plays with local groups such as PROTESTRA, Salon Avec Moi and the Chelsea Symphony. In March 2026, she made her orchestral solo debut performing Heitor Villa Lobos' Ciranda das Sete Notas with the Chelsea Symphony.

Katherine studied with David McGill at Northwestern University (BM 2018), Nancy Goeres at Boston University (MM 2020) and is most recently completed the OAcademy Global Artist fellowship (Artist Diploma 2026).
